WhatsApp is definitely the most popular online messaging app in the world. There are over two billion users that use WhatsApp monthly. Recently, many features have been introduced like WhatsApp communities, and the ability to send private messages on WhatsApp. Although the app has many great features, but still misses some basic features like the ability to send message without saving phone number. But there are many different ways to accomplish this which we have discussed below.
Chat Yourself
You can use the Chat Yourself feature to send messages to others using WhatsApp without saving the phone number on your phone. First, open the ‘create new message’ area and tap on “Chat Yourself” which has the (You) label in WhatsApp. Your chat window will show up now enter the unsaved number in the message box and send it to yourself. Now, this number will appear in blue in the chat you just need to tap on the phone number you just sent and select the ‘Chat with’ option to send a message without saving the contact number.
WhatsApp Link
WhatsApp has an official way to message someone without saving their number. You can use this feature on any device like a computer or phone. This Click to Chat feature uses a short link to start a conversation with any WhatsApp account whether it’s saved or not. However, this feature is not available in the WhatsApp app. You need to go to your browser and type the https://wa.me/phonenumber address to use this feature. You must enter the country code for the phone number, but don’t use the symbols like (+,-) or zeros with the phone number. Now go to this link, and you’ll see the “Continue Chat” button which you can click to start chatting with the person whose phone number is not saved.
Chat Groups
If you’re in a group chat and want to send a message directly to this person, you don’t need to save his/her number on your phone. You can just click on the chat number, then a window will appear in which you need to tap on the “Message ” option. You can also go to the group about by tapping on its name above. Locate the person’s phone number from the participants list. Click on the phone number and a pop-up will appear, just click on the “Message ” option and you will enter that person’s chat window. In most cases, the first method will work and many people already know it.
Third-Party App
You can use a third-party app to send messages on WhatsApp without adding phone numbers to your phonebook. In those apps, you enter your phone number and tap on the “Start chat in WhatsApp” button. This app redirects you to the user’s WhatsApp chat where you can start your conversation with him. There are some applications that allow users to enter phone number and the message they want to send, when you hit send, this app directly sends this message to that individual’s Whatsapp and transfers you to the WhatsApp chat window.
